Review: Honestly poor customer service. The owner is condensing and rude. I had an appointment set for 9am on 3/29/24. I made it around 8:30am. The doors were opened around 8:45am. My man was on the on the phone with me and let the owner know what kind of tints to put on the car. The price completely changed from what him and I were originally told multiple times on separate occasions. We got estimates from multiple other companies that ranged within the original price given to us of $250. Of course we both were upset and the owner brushed it off and tried to flip it as if it was being blown out of proportion. The owner said he made a mistake and didn’t realize it was an suv after receiving the make, model, and year of the car multiple times. He also let it be known the tinting process takes 4hours. We continued with the process even though the price went up to $285 before tax. This whole conversation happened before 9am. The time was going on 10am and the first car which was not ours was being serviced. When I asked he said he was going to bring our car in, in a few minutes and it should be done a little before 2pm. I chose to leave and I came back around 11am. The car was still in the same spot never moved. I asked what I could get taken off for the wait time the agreement was $25 at the moment. The time for the car to be completely finished was still set at 2pm. What he didn’t know while I was talking to him was I was on the phone. The time was getting closer to 1pm, and the car was finally taken back. He came out and told me he would make me very happy. He took $50 off of the price given in the morning because of how patient I was. He told me they doubled booked for the whole day. To me it meant nothing because it put the price point back in the original range before he changed it in the morning. The price he refused to change because of the amount of work that goes into it. The owner also kept playing the he said she said game but he didn’t know we both were on the phone with every interaction with the company. Multiple cars also got done that made it after me including ones without appointments. My man showed up after work to come wait with me around 1:45pm. The owner told another man who came in after me who got the same thing done that his car was almost done. I asked about our car and he said it was going to be about another hour and a half to “dry” meaning it wouldn’t be ready until after 3pm. With that time range given it takes no where near 4 hours to do tint. My spouse got highly upset because of how long I already had been waiting and they went back and forth. The ower started making new excuses concerning the person who does does the tinting not being available, then said he originally said 3 even though we both heard him say 2, then he went back to everything being double booked and then he went on about not needing to be talked to a certain way and how he doesn’t need us. We ended up getting a refund. When we saw the car there were no tints “drying” on the windows. He never truly apologized or tried to make it right without the motive of taking up more time. They took it back to never even start on it. We went to another place and got squeezed in. It took less than an hour for it to get done, it was less than $200, and it was done to perfection with the lifetime warranty. I should have believed the reviews on his character and how he loves to gaslight.

Review: I was on my way from Green Bay to Indianapolis and stopped in Milwaukee on Sunday to attend Mass. When I came out after the service, my front passenger window was shattered. Thankfully, a woman from the area found Safe Auto Glass on the Internet and called them. By the grace of God, they were only 10 minutes away and open on Sunday. I was told to ask for Frank.
Well, Frank was so nice and got me in within 10 minutes of my arrival. They fixed my window and cleaned up every bit of the shattered glass which was all over the front seat and floor.
The amazing part is that the price was quite reasonable. I would HIGHLY recommend this family owned shop. I was back on the road within an HOUR!!!

Review: Have you ever had an experience as a customer that struck you as too good to be true, but it was!? That was my WONDERFUL experience with the Safe Auto Group. In the weeks before I picked up my car from them, there had been a lot of less-than-delightful stuff going on for me–the car accident that brought me there to begin with, but also two funerals in my family (thankfully unrelated to the accident) and surgery for my husband. So I was pretty beat when I went to pick it up.
I couldn’t believe how great it looked! When shop owner Tom drove out my 12 year old Subaru Outback for me, it looked LIKE NEW. I really was just taken aback. I expected it to be fixed up, new doors and everything but, wow! They had detailed it too, outside AND in! And I mean detailed–the leather upholstery, the carpeting, the Weather Tech floormats even in the hatchback area, so perfectly clean and like new! My husband, a “car guy” himself, was so impressed that he now wants to take his own ’97 Riviera there just to be detailed. And here’s what surpassed my expectations even more: there had been pretty significant damage done to the other side of my car years before from pulling in too close to the side of our garage. I just lived with it, because we had better uses for the $5,000 + the dealership estimated it would cost to get that bodywork done. So when shop manager Tom called to say they were nearly finished with the insurance-covered work and my car would look so nice again but, wouldn’t we like the other side fixed to match? Well, sure, I said, give us an estimate, figuring it would fall into a similar price range beyond our out-of-pocket reach. When he called back with “$450” I had to ask him twice to repeat it, I was so surprised! No kidding, my car now looks like new again–from either side, from front to back. And I will enjoy telling anyone who asks about our beyond-positive experience with Safe Auto Group.

Review: The owner poured an entire bottle of water into the headliner of my 2013 elantra gt to demonstrate that “my sunroof drains were clogged.” But he wrongly poured the entire bottle into the headliner through the sunroof mechanism instead of the working drains. As the water dripped through my headliner and onto my curtain airbags with the battery still connected and the engine running, he tried to say that somehow water was passing up and around my working rubber sunroof seals and down into my headliner enough to cause moisture issues at the bottom of the windshield that he installed? Give me a break! I think he didn’t want to do any warranty repair work for the windshield, so he made my car wet and DANGEROUS, and when I told him that upset me he then refused to work on my car (which now has a bottle of water in the dashboard). I wish I went with a national chain instead of my local shop. I have no trust in this business and it was disappointing and ugly customer service. Please do better. Dealership and two independent shops confirmed improper windshield installation occurred. New windshield needed to be purchased out of customers’ pockets to fix poor workmanship. Be wary of businesses that can’t admit their errors.

Review: Safe Auto Glass cracked my windshield. I brought my car in to repair a dime size chip, and left with a two foot crack on my windshield. My $59.00 chip repair turned into a $399.00 replacement. Rude customer service. I did take my car to a different shop for the replacement. No surprises.
