The driver’s insurance valued my truck too low so it was totaled and there was no way I was going to be able to replace my truck with the money they were going to give me so I needed to take the salvage value and keep my truck. I checked around at a few different body shops including colorworks unlimited. Michael there was very helpful and was able to give me the best quote on replacing the entire truck bed with a used bed. My truck is a 2005 so a used bed was the only option (other than replacing the damaged panel with a new one), and definitely more cost economical. They even did some body repair to the replacement truck bed before they painted it. A friend brought my truck to the shop while I was out of town for an extended period of time and Michael and his team got it painted and installed. Included in his price was an $800 paint in bed liner. Before the accident, I had no bed liner and the back of my truck was a little rusted and all scratched up so it looks much nicer now. He even worked with me a little on the price so I could be within the parameters of the amount of insurance money Trexxis gave me. I pretty much broke even and didn’t have to spend any money on the repairs and was able to get the nice spray in bed liner. They even vacuumed the interior of my truck. Michael also gave me some advice on my Honda Odyssey that the paint might be too thin all the way around since it is chipping a little and that I should let him put a gauge on it and I may be able to appeal it to the Honda dealer and get my whole van repainted. I’m very thankful for that advice. He takes walk-ins on Thursdays for free estimates and will mix up a bottle of well-matched touch up paint for only $25 just by scanning your vehicle’s paint. All in all, I had a great experience and would recommend colorworks unlimited. Michael dealt with my insurance company and my 2017 Honda HRV looks brand new. No problems or delays. I priced the job around with the large companies first in Williamsburg and then I made the trek out to Toano to get a quote. Mike was very nice and the price was comparable with the other quotes I received. My front left fender was losing paint as a result of a poor paint fix of what CU found to be gravel damage and nothing major. While they had the front end broke down I had them do the headlight restoration which looks outstanding and replace the front grill that was looking color from years of spray washes I’m sure. The part was inexpensive and able to be installed during the service. Lastly, with all the snow and Ice my drivers side window started to make crunchy noises and stopped working the day before I brought it in to CU. I didn’t think they would be able to do the work but Mike indicated that they did and they knocked that out of the park too. I can’t recommend Colorworks Unlimited enough !! I took it to Ebbys and they screwed it up so bad all the work to to be redone. This time I took it to Colorworks and not only did they complete the rework on time, the work quality was outstanding. My entire vehicle looked great when I picked it up, not just the bumper. The price was very fair and I am very happy with the work that was performed.
