The windows look good, the crew did a good job installing. We had some OLD windows that just shattered when they came out through no fault of advanced so we expected some glass pieces to get missed during clean up. My only problem was with the sales department. When I got the initial quote I was clear I wanted the cheapest windows and nothing else. When it came time to do final measurements and the give the required deposit the quote was higher than the first time. When I asked why that was it was because they quoted me for the expensive windows, and window wraps. I had to be very firm that was NOT what I wanted. Once that was remedied, the price was what I was originally quoted. He showed up on time, actually called and was able to come earlier than scheduled. Made a fantastic presentation! No sales gimmicks, no fancy phrases. Just got the measurements and gave us a price in about 30 minutes! He gave us the best price we had been quoted with the best windows that their company manufactures here in Salt Lake City, Utah. What a breath of fresh air after sitting through 1 to 3-hour presentations of five other window companies! Thank you Rob! You help us love our house more! Several companies had super high prices, others had lower prices but bad warranties, but they all came with the same window demo 😂 but some tried to make their product premium quality and try to convince me and talk nice about their products, not knowing that they were made by the same manufacturer. 😂 The call number 10 was to ADVANCED WINDOW PRODUCTS. I set up an appointment. Todd came and from the beginning he spoke clearly to me. We build our own windows here in Salt Lake City. We give you a lifetime warranty. We use Cardinal Glass LoE-366 especially for this Utah climate. I will measure your windows and give you a price right now and if you decide to get the job done call me to make the final measurements. From the beginning I realized that Advanced Window would be the right company to replace my windows. The day of the installation arrived 12/26. My installers Javier and Luis, from the time they arrived at 8:00 AM until 5:00 PM, their kindness and friendship made me feel like I had known them for years. I made two new friends. They installed 13 windows and a sliding door, doing an impressive job leaving my house clean as if nothing had happened they explained everything to me step by step, taking all the time possible to leave the installation 100% perfect. From the beginning with Todd to the end with Javier and Luis, I realized that my wife and I made the best decision in giving the project to Advanced Window Products. With them we got The best price. The other company gave us ridiculous pricing and we thought we could find something more affordable. I called Advanced for a quote and Darren was awesome, he didn’t try to upsell us or give us a long lecture on why we needed to use them. It was very simple and to the point, which I appreciated. We got our windows in the time frame they estimated. Noel and Junior did a great job installing them, protecting the paint and molding around the windows, covering the floors and carpets they walked on, and they cleaned everything up after and hauled it off. There is a reason I returned to Advanced Window for the last 5 windows of my 1911 historical home. I first had the south side of the home’s windows replaced in 2017…. and when I decided to do a complete renovation, I immediately called Advanced Window to come and install the last 5 windows. And here is the no. 1 reason, even in retrospect. 7 years later , I could not tell the difference between the 7 year old ones and the ones put in today. All still glide smoothly when opened, lock firmly, the screens are tight and easy to remove and clean. Not to mention everything you can read online about what goes into making their Windows : one example being the technology used for the double pained windows . Teach yourself something , and read how they go about custom building your windows. And don’t think they must be way over your budget. Because I’ve done my shopping .. and they are so worth the reasonable prices. My father used to tell me, ” Gal, if you can’t afford to do it right the first time, what makes you think you can afford to do it over and over again. Amen to that”. But, most of all, Advanced Window “say what they mean, and mean what they say. ” Chris and Kaleb were here right at 8am , said it would take 4 to 4.5 hours [ and they delivered that exactly ], These two men were a breath of fresh air, engaging and happy, but didn’t let my brief chattiness pause their work for one minute. CHRIS even managed to take my week from “Hell” and make it a ” glad to be turning another year older” kind of week. They were professional from the moment they arrived. There aren’t enough stars available to give each of them. Chris was very respectful of Kaleb in his direction for assistance and it was obvious that the two worked well together. Always a bonus for the home owner. I had 100% trust in both of them and left them to do their magic as I went next door to my second home. Thank you Chris and Kaleb for your professionalism. However…when I did have a warranty issue, I was told repeatedly that they couldn’t find my account, but they would look for it…and until I called with my customer account, I was not in the system. Ok. Deep breath. Someone was supposed to call me. No…they didn’t. Eventually, I called back, paperwork in hand. I told them about my warranty issue, I was immediately transferred to my original salesman, Todd. He initially answered politely. He was apparently in a customer’s kitchen and had to step away. Fair. I understood. In the moment of being on hold, I found an unexpected surprise left my my dog, so when he came back to the phone, I said, hang on! I need a second as I grabbed a paper towel. And he immediately, without patience, started to demand why I was calling him while he was with a customer. First, I WAS a customer, and I was transferred to HIM. So, I’m not sure how I was expected to understand his wearabouts. I tried to explain first that I needed half a moment to recover from the unexpected surprise that was between my toes, but I couldn’t get any words in. He was yelling at me from the moment our calls were connected. I attempted to explain that I was transferred to him, but hardly got through my sentence. He screamed at me to know why I called him…I got out”I was tr” before he yelled, “DO YOU NEED SERVICE?” And I matched his tone, “YES!” And he yelled back that he “has a family to feed and doesn’t have to put up with this bullshit!” and hung up on me. Todd wouldn’t let me get a word in. I didn’t give him any bullshit, other than to ask for some grace because I stepped in dog vomit…and to be fair, it was the worst kind of surprise. If I were a current customer, and treated that way, I’d have never bought windows from you. I would have paid Pella 10K more than the price I paid. Because respect goes much farther than a cheap price. To my understanding, I was transferred to Todd because I had a warranty question…and if he will yell at a previous customer, without letting them speak, I can’t imagine that he has any sort of patience for new customers with questions…or worse of all, people in the support department. Todd whaeverhislastnameis is the worst kind of employee you can hold onto as far as a team mentality goes. I can’t be the only person who has had such and unprovoked attack and lack of support. I can only assume that by his response, he believed that my call came from an internal number because I was transferred and he had no idea that it was coming from an actual customer. I don’t know why I was transferred to Todd, but whatever commission he was paid, I’d like a refund. And, I would like said refund paid to Jamie, who was more than happy and understanding, who actually took care of my issue. Todd is an asshole, Jamie is a Saint. Y’all have my record, since it was a warranty issue. We called Advanced and found out they are a local manufacturer and installer and they didn’t care that they didn’t do the original install. They came out right away to take measurements and within a few weeks we had replacement glass and our beautiful view of the mountains restored. All with a lifetime warranty and high efficiency glass! The service was great, pricing was very fair, and we even had one of the owners on site the day of our replacement. Thank you Janetha for helping coordinate everything and big thanks to Nate for taking time out of his busy schedule to be on site the day of the install with a big smile. Having been in the industry for over 30 years and working with contractors all over the country I can say the team at Advanced is far above any company I have ever dealt with.
