Jay has a shop that is clean and he and his employees are knowledgable and professional. His price for service beat his competitors by 15%. The skin looks great! Jay did a flawless job with the 3M window tint. He’s professional and is a really nice guy. He also had good pricing despite supply shortages caused by the pandemic. I couldn’t be happier with the result and wish I’d done it years ago. In addition, his workmanship was inadequate, resulting in minor damage to my vehicle, and peeling of the film he installed. This required multiple repeat visits for film correction, with some continued peeling thereafter. More information: I paid Jay to install a SunTek Reaction Paint Protection Film to my new car. Initially, I was planning to have the film installed over only part of the vehicle. However, when he offered to make a deal with me and apply the film to the entire vehicle at a lower cost than his competitors—PLUS add ceramics on top of it—I was convinced to spend the extra money. I was disappointed to find Jay hadn’t given me a deal at all. Rather, he simply installed a cheaper film (SunTek Ultra), directly breaching our agreement. I brought this concern to Jay, who refused to disclose how much money he saved from his deceptive business practice. He became defensive and angry. He failed to lower the price or otherwise rectify the situation in any way. Unfortunately, Jay’s workmanship resulted in some minor damage to the vehicle and peeling of the film in multiple locations; pictures of some of these defects are attached. The peeling film required several repeat visits to rectify, and continued to peel despite these visits. To Jay’s credit, he didn’t completely leave me out to dry and has fixed a good amount of the peeling, at least as of the time this review was posted—though there is still unresolved peeling to date and the damages were never addressed. His customer service was also unsatisfactory, with delayed response times and ignored messages. In sum, I regret using Jay’s services and wish I had gone with one of his competitors. Thankfully after calling around the area and getting multiple bids, I stumbled upon Jay’s shop where the price was fair and the communication was on point. Jay took his time doing a full matte PPF wrap on my car and I was more than pleased with the outcome! Additionally, he threw in some goodies, that helped improve the overall ‘stealth’ aesthetic I was going for. I really appreciate that extra touch as it shows he cares about the project from both a business standpoint and customer satisfaction. I also had tint installed on all of my windows, save for the top panoramic glass due to it not being needed. While there was a slight imperfection in the front windshield, Jay was able to correct it without issue and made sure I was taken care of. All in all, if you are looking for a great shop, look no further!
