I called to get an estimate on putting a stereo and camera installed and they guy assumed it was a truck somehow and told me I needed to come in. I told him it was a car and told him the model but apparently I still needed to come in. I go up there and the guy never came out to look at the car. That is my first problem. He could have gave me the estimate over phone if he wasn’t gonna look at the car. The guy had a condescending rude attitude right off the bat when asking for the estimate when I arrived. The Hispanic guy didn’t want to tell me what parts I needed and I had to drag it out of him. He assumed it was because I wanted to bring my own parts and he didn’t want to have the wrong parts. I always ask what parts are needed so that I know what I’m paying for and how much is the labor and parts itemized. I’m an engineer and project manager so I always do my due diligence. I don’t know if he thought I was an idiot black guy or what but he was extremely condescending and unprofessional. I was told before they were racist many years ago but I gave them a shot and let them my tent earlier this year and so I came back to them for the stereo estimate. I called back later to voice my complaint to the manager or owner and this guy was rude as well. In addition, the manager or owner accused me of cursing when I simply asked “did the guy have a bad day or what?”. He said I said “damn” when I didn’t. I got a lackluster apology. Horrible people! I will never give them my business again nor will I recommend them to anyone. They quoted me $480 and I ended up getting a much better quote later from another shop that was half the price. I already new the brand and the cost of the rear speakers I wanted installed. Nathan came out and looked over things and got back with me on a quote. When I looked over the quote, the rear speakers were marked up double the price, compared to most places you could get them online. This got me thinking, if they doubled the price on the speakers, did they also double the price of the NVR and 4 cameras. I looked up the model numbers online of both and yes they were both marked significantly. At this point I contacted Nathan and let him know that I could save $2,200 by buying the equipment myself and would only be needing installation. He sent over a new quote for installation only, which worked for me. Nathan said he would check their schedule and see when he could fit me in. After 24 hours of not hearing from him, I contacted him again and ask if he knew when they could fit me in. Once again he said he would check with Anna and get back with me. Well that was Jan 20th and still nothing. I guess since I wouldn’t let them WAY overcharge me on the equipment, they didn’t have time for me. I ended up contacting Stereo & Video and they came out the next day and did an excellent job on the installation. Anna found they had one in stock and replaced it with only a service call charge. They did not have to do that. I was very happy because they went above and beyond. When you first walk into the store you are greeted with great customer service. They are very knowledgeable of in their line of work. I don’t think you will find another who answer your questions and provide top notch advice and service. A week or so ago, I went in to look at a system for my home. A young lady helped me who was very nice. She took my information to have someone to call me. After I received the phone call. Nathan and I set-up an appointment time for him to come out. I told him what I was wanting. He gave me his suggestions. As I have done in the past, I trusted his recommendations. And MY GOD, he was on point. I was absolutely blown away by the quality of work and the that was installed…JUST UNBELIEVABLE!!! A year ago I did business with another local stereo shop because they were cheaper. Well, I got what I paid for. The customer service was poor. Getting merchandise in the time that was said was even worse. I actually had a go to Best Buy to purchase some of it myself. Long story short, I paid them for what they did. Then review I left wasn’t a good one either. Then ended up where I should have gone to in the first place, Big Daddy’s Stereo. They finished the job with no problem. Thank you Rusty, Robbie, Tyler, Clay, Nathan and the rest of the staff.
