The install went well, the waiting room is tight but had everything needed. The location has several shopping and eating options very nearby. My only complaints are 2 VERY BIG things. 1 the price shown in the showroom was just under 600.00 my total out the door was nearly 1075.00 I feel that could have been explained PRIOR to being presented the bill. If it’s required fine but there’s a 150.00 charge for something not explained at all. I get a wire harness was required but this was not a harness it was separated and listed. 2. Once they were finished there was ZERO teaching or showing me what anything did.or how to use the fobs or app. There are 5 ways to remote start my car 2 different key fobs, a smaller 3 button and a larger one with several buttons and a display, the 2 vehicle keys were both programmed and a phone app. My “training” was the 20 seconds it took to walk from the front door to the car. He showed me on the door frame a serial number of the unit and said “download an app that he did not name you will need that number” and “sign here.” I still have no clue what the bigger key fob with a display and several buttons does. I can’t figure out how to open the back hatch with either of the key fobs. The written instructions do very little to help or clarify and I don’t even know if all the features on the fob were hooked up. Very frustrating to say the least. After an initial consultation in which I was greeted by multiple folks, I was given the price for the work and set up an appointment on the spot. I went in to have the work done and I was in and out in less than an hour. The work that was done was explained and showed to me and works just as it did before without the clutter of wires and use of my cig lighter which I use for an additional usb port for charging. First of all everyone was extremely professional, especially Bruce, who was the person I worked with to set up the job and sold me the radio and installation. He and the install technician (Trey) were extremely knowledgeable. I had done installation before myself, and from my first discussions with Bruce, I knew he was an expert. On top of all of that, Bruce quoted me a price and once we got the work done, he was able to discount my payment even more. The installation that Trey did was clean and made to fit my vehicle perfectly. After the installation was completed, Bruce patiently went over the radio features and operation thoroughly. From the first interaction I had with them on the phone I knew it would be a great experience. When I told them what my issue was, instead of them giving me an outrageous price, they told me to bring my slingshot by so they could look at it and if it was a quick fix they would take care of it! Who does that??? When I got to the shop, Big John Stephens was nothing but professional and upfront. He made me feel comfortable leaving my slingshot there and not expecting an enormous bill. Dalton is the best slingshot tech ever! I told him what my issue was and he fixed it, and some other stuff I didn’t even know about! Even showed me some things as well. They were fair about pricing and went above and beyond to get me squared away. John and Dalton have earned a customer for life! Slingshot owners, if you have any issues, take to the CarToys located on 288 in Denton and ask for Big John or Dalton, you won’t be disappointed!
