We initially bought some curtains for our half-moon window that was not an easy project. There were some hiccups along the way, but Cindy’s Window Fashions went above and beyond to make things right. The owner even came to our house to fully investigate the issue, provided multiple and awesome suggestions, and ensured a resolution that we were agreeable with. The curtains are such a huge focal point when people first walk into our home and noticed immediately. Our half-moon window is now a work of art because of the elegant curtains, which include a sheer behind it. It is especially beautiful when pulled back with the beautiful hardware to hold it in place. We were so impressed, soon after we purchased blinds for our entire house (approximately 27 windows)! We had priced blinds before with other companies, but the cost was outrageous for this many windows. Cindy’s Window Fashions is reasonable and affordable even in the terrible financial times we are living through. Besides all of this, the people are AMAZING and they are genuinely happy to go above and beyond to ensure you are more than satisfied! I can’t say enough about the interactions we’ve had with this company. I wish all companies provided this type of customer service. Cindy’s Window Fashions is a family-owned business but is a model for all businesses and their success is proof of that. Thank you to all the folks who worked with us. My blinds (restringing) were done ahead of the projected timeline and they work perfectly. The price was about average, but they were attentive and very professional. Everyone we dealt with, Donnie the owner, Sandra the salesperson and John the installer were are friendly and helpful. I believe we payed a fair price for our window coverings. The problems we had with these items reflects poorly on Hunter Douglas and not the retailer. There seem to be 3 manufacturers of window coverings that dominate the market: Hunter Douglas, Norman and Graber. Cindys offers Hunter Douglas. Frankly, none of these products are all that great compared to the past. That is a constant in an economy were cost cutting has impacted quality. We have other Hunter Douglas shutters that are 13 years old and they are better made than what they offer now. Our shutters were installed in June. One was poorly made and it was replaced about 8 weeks later. It was also sub standard and it was replaced this December. The problem is in the dovetail joints that join the frame together. The joints are poorly cut and the fit often leaves gaps that can be seen especially on cafe shutters. One replacement also was cracked along the joint and down one side of the frame. It is hard to separate a review of Cindys from a review of Hunter Douglas. They had to choose one to rep and it was HD. I would patronize the store again, but I would never buy another HD product. They are made abroad without proper quality control and with cheap materials. The replacements which took a total of 6 months to receive illustrates the problem of manufacturing in another country.
