Each day I deal with several clients who have had accidents. When they say they are not at fault. I ask them the same question every time. did you get proof? Without proof the insurance companies just make you at fault. As of today I can say now I will always have proof thanks to Kevin and Chris and everyone else at summit sound. The new front and rear camera are incredible the explanation was thorough and detailed making sure I understood everything. The customer service was exceptional from the first phone call till when I walked out with my car. Protect yourselves and your kids everyone!! Get your camera installed now. I specifically asked that it be installed so that it could be de-installed quickly so I can reinstall factory speakers and get factory audio back. When I needed to de-install, I found that the factory speakers were snipped at the connectors. When I brought this in and asked what happened, staff seemed annoyed with me and repeatedly told me its $150 an hour for them to do anything. Chris did make a quick harness for me to use, free of charge. When I used the harness and got my speakers back in, factory audio was back! Then I removed the amp and obviously no audio after that. Called the shop and they said they were too busy with installs to help me. The audio system sounded great and the install looked awesome and was clean and professional. Although they did have my car for 2 days more than they said they would. When they make a mistake, its like pulling teeth to get them to fix it. Customer Service means a lot. Especially when you’re spending thousands of dollars with a company. I realized this was not just another ‘in-and-out’ store when I stepped in. First, they are an Alpine Style Center (ASC), which is okay if it doesn’t mean anything to you because it didn’t mean anything to me either. But then I looked it up and saw that ASCs are an exclusive group of Alpine Authorized Retailers that have evolved their in-store retail environment into an elite retail experience. There are only around 33 nationwide! At an ASC, you can expect: Extensive Alpine product inventory Unparalleled customer service One-of-a-kind Alpine Demo+ vehicle Interactive product displays Engaging on-site events What truly distinguishes Summit is its unwavering dedication to customer education. Their desire to educate you rather than take your money and move on to the next customer makes them stand out. They invested hours with me, ensuring I grasped every aspect of my audio setup before touching my car. Andy & Chris each spent an hour with me on the phone. Not once did they complain. Chris even said that his favorite part of his day was speaking to customers on the phone and helping to educate them. He even said he hoped more people would call in and ask to talk to him directly — what a guy! That speaks volumes! Roger, the owner, personally shared his expertise, making me feel like I was part of their team. He even welcomed me to stay after hours to learn more about their products with the SS Crew. The entire staff was incredibly welcoming and knowledgeable. Their passion for audio is evident in every interaction. Summit’s expertise extends beyond car audio. As a two-time Alpine Dealer of the Year, they also excel in home theaters and tackle projects for businesses and schools. They’re also one of the area’s few computer-cut window film installers, showcasing their versatility. And if you need some custom work done on a historic car, look no further! While I acknowledge that some recent reviews were unfavorable, my experience was exceptional. Summit Sound and Security truly prioritizes finding the right solution for each customer. For anyone searching for a personalized, high-quality audio experience, I recommend Summit. They’ve turned this skeptic into a loyal customer, and I’m confident they can do the same for you. Stopped by the Summit store to inquire about having my auto receiver replaced. Got a lukewarm reception at best. Was given general answers to questions and had the perception they just didn’t want to deal with it. Was offered a non-specific estimate. Said I’d contact them to set up an appointment for a firm quote. Thought maybe I had overreacted to the first visit, so I called the next week. The salesman I worked with was busy with another customer so left a message and was told I’d get a call back. Turns out I was correct all along; I did not receive a call back. I got in over my head and they were more than happy to make it right even though it would have been much easier for them to start from scratch. They were prompt, thorough, knowledgeable and took the time to explain things. The were also fair and transparent with their pricing. Although I would have given them a 5 stars last summer, I didn’t write a review. The reason I’m writing a review today is that I was having a few minor issues with my system and the owner (Roger) responded quickly and personally came out to my house to see what was going on. He was able to fix it quickly and when I asked him for an invoice, he told me that he was in the neighborhood and that he appreciated my business and it was on the house. I’m not saying that you should expect a free service visit but I am saying that their service is simply top notch and their customers are important to them. A refreshing perspective in 2023.
