Someone rear ended my car and Jim Byron was able to get me 2 quotes, one for aesthetics repair and other for whole bumper replacement and after removing bumper I needed a new one . the bumper was ordered ASAP and it took 2 days to paint and install the bumper. Other places couldn’t find the bumper and they wanted about the same price or a little more . Thank you Jim Byron and his staff for a pleasant customer experience and for being able to expedite the repair. Brought my car in for service basically routine maintenance. They checked it out and let me know exactly what I needed at this point in time. Originally thought I needed brakes but was told my brakes were fine and plenty of life no need to change them. Changed out some fluids and oil. They did everything like it was their own vehicle being serviced. Pricing was fair and reasonable. If you want to take care of your vehicle you can’t go wrong by bringing your vehicle to Patterson Auto. I also asked them to look the car over since it hasnt been on the road in a while. He called me to tell me that the tires on the car were old and dry rotted and not safe for the road. Gave me prices on different tires from inexpensive to top of tge line. I was glad to purchase tires from them and give a local hardworkimg business my business. After speaking with James during my lunch he advised that the window works and he doesn’t see anything wrong with it . I then asked him to do an oil change and check the car over since it was due soon for service . At 4 pm I called james who told me that my car needed wheel bearings badly and since it was labor intensive and a big job he would’ve have car ready until next day . He gave me a price of $1,000 and said it was his best price . Since I use my car to work and it’s my only way around I agreed to the work being started the next day . At 5 ( only 1 hour after speaking with James) I called my brother who works in cars in NJ and told him the issue and the price . My brother flipped and said that it is not even a big job and the parts are maybe 125 each with maybe 1/2 labor . I called back james right away and said I didn’t want work done on car I will pick it up now . He then begins to tell me that he started the job and will be done in 10 minutes . I then told him what my brother told me and he just said then what price do you want to pay since I did the job . …. when I got to the garage there was not apologies or explanation for how he came up with that price . Nothing !!!! I only gave him $500 and promise him he would never see me again !! This PLACE is a RIP OFF!!
