Review: Great experience getting work completed on my 06 Tundra. Fair price. Excellent communication. Progress and finish pics. Even restored my headlights. Tundra needed some frame work and Wool Wax application. Highly recommend.

Review: Chris and his whole crew are very attentive and professional. They did a rust protective wool wax treatment on my GX 460 and did a fabulous job. Reasonable prices as well, I wouldn’t hesitate to return for any service for any of my vehicles in the future.

Review: Chris Ramos and Garden State Auto Repair are absolutely the BEST!
I called to schedule my 2015 Toyota Tacoma for a Wool Wax undercoating and decided to do my shocks as well. Chris managed to get me in in spite of a packed agenda.
He and his team cleaned, scaled and applied the Wool Wax undercoating and I am not exaggerating when I say Garden State LIT. MY. BABY. UP!!! Not only did Garden State light up my truck, but they managed to figure out and fix the cat shield issue which had been a thorn in my side for almost a year. (In the past, I had taken my truck to three other shops about the buzzing in the cat and no one was able to figure it out…but Chris did!)
Not only was the work done beyond five stars, but Chris himself is one helluva guy! Nice, friendly and professional. Pricing was great too!
I love supporting local businesses and I am beyond satisfied with the work Chris and Garden State Auto did on my Tacoma. Best. Money. I’ve. Ever. Spent.

Review: I took my car here for a minor brake repair and it was fixed in 5 minutes. Not only was it fixed, but their amazing team noticed that something was loose on my suspension. They put my car on the lift and saw that one of the bolts in my control arm was loose. I recently had my control arms replaced after an accident. When I picked my car up from the other shop (who will not be named), I noticed there was a knocking sound every time I put the car in forward or reverse. They told me that due to minor frame damage, the engine mount did. not line up and that’s why it was knocking. I had this embarrassing sound for over a year. When the team at Garden State tightened the bolt, the knocking was gone. Not only that, my car is driving better than it has in years. They refused to take money because of how easy of a fix it was but after pleading with them, I paid the mechanic directly for what he did. This is the kind of service that is extremely hard to find these days. Honest, diligent service and putting the customer first. I will definitely be back. This place deserves TEN STARS. Thanks again to Chris and his wonderful team. You have a customer for life.

Review: This is an usual business in a couple of ways. I used their undercoating service. The service they provide (scaling, needling, rust sanding, welding and undercoating) is something not a lot of shops do. It’s a specialized set of skills – done right. Secondly, the attention to detail and customer service are top-notch! Chris runs the shop and is very communicative. He’ll provide you a thorough assesment of your car’s level of service requirements and why as well as a timely estimate. He’ll get your car in as soon as possible; they are extremely busy and for good reason.
If you can’t get someone to pick you up, he’ll even personally drop you off at a nearby train or bus station and pick you up when you come back.
The work is exceptional. Excellent welders/fabricators on-site if your car needs it (mine needed it for a rotten cross-member). Rust removal was thorough and the Wax-wool application was very well done. They got every exterior steel component that needed it and as much inside the frame rails as possible. Is this a bargain? No. It’s an expensive service no doubt. But how much is your car worth to you? How long is it’s longevity worth to you? For me, it was well worth it. I wish I had brought it to this shop when I first got the truck.
