I know I paid for a package with new wipers and yet they have no record of it. The man that arrived to the house knew nothing about the price I paid and was going to charge me a different price. The glass was in one price when we left it there. 2 days later Jeremy called to say they broke the window while removing the gasket and we would have to pay for new glass. That would have been $105 with same glass but they now need to put in tempered glass which would be considerably more. Over $200. We told him to put in the same glass. He refused. He told us to pick up the window frame. We dont feel we should have to go elsewhere and pay for glass. We have always come to this place for over 40 yrs. Very disappointed. Jeremy was argumentative and would not back down on expensive glass nor would he replace what HE broke. They told me it was $50 the first chip plus $10 each remaining chip and I had 4 so it was supposed to be $80. I got here for my appointment and right off the bat “Jerry” was rude to me because the receptionist wrote down I had 2 instead of 4 and how “he will have to see because this is now going to take longer than a full windshield repair” and told me “it was now going to be $50 extra dollars for the 4th chip because after the 3rd chip the price goes back up to $50 since it takes so long I should ideally replace the whole windshield so 130.00 total if I was going with chip repair” & for the most minor windshield chips, 3 of them look like tiny fingernail indents you could barely even notice them. I called the Lansing location and they said it is $50 the first and 10 each additional not going back up to $50 so they were just as confused as me and asked for the guys name so they called “Jerry” and all the sudden that was the right price $80 like I was told to begin with. I’m not sure if he was just trying to not do anything and trying to make customers leave when “the work isn’t ideal for him” or is trying to steal the extra money for himself but I won’t ever be coming to the Charlotte location again. Worst experience and hassle for no reason. Also was almost taken advantage of, soooo glad I called the Lansing location for clarity. When my car was done the receptionist was back (I’m assuming she was on lunch when I arrived) but she was really nice and respectful. The total time was about 35 minutes for all 4 chip repairs but I was there a total of 50 minutes because I had to call the Lansing location and have them contact “jerry” and fix the pricing issue. The repairs do look good but not worth someone trying to take advantage of you because you’re a female.
