Review: We were looking for a DIY wire guided sunshade as installers/product are difficult to find here. Found the Baby Grande Solar Heavy-Duty Shades on North Solar Screen (NSS) and their products seemed to be a good fit.
From beginning to end, the support and the product we received were first class. We knew that the install would require very precise measurements – NSS provided all of the needed drawings to ensure that our shade placement was dead-on. When we placed the order, Debby (President of NSS) contacted us directly to ensure the right product choices were made – she even offered to extend sale pricing until we could get fabric samples to get the “right” product for our location.
Once ordered, the product arrived in great shape – the packing of the shade helped to ensure that all components were included and that none of the surfaces were marred or bent. Given that it traveled several thousand miles, we were very pleased that it arrived safely.
Instructions were straightforward and we had the shade installed in one day. This included installation of the solar panel that supports the electric motor, guide cables, housing, and fabric roll.
I whole-heartedly applaud Debby and the entire NSS team for their service and support during the sale, and for providing a high-quality product both of which far exceeded our expectations. If you’re considering a sunshade, you need not look any further than North Solar Screen!

Review: We started the screen shopping process several months ago and could not stomach some of the prices out there. North Solar Screen popped up and was far more reasonable for our budget needs. The sales/consultation specialist I worked with via phone and email was so helpful to make sure we got the right product at the exact right size for our back porch. Installation was fairly straightforward and took only a basic set of tools. The end product is really lovely and works like a champ to reduce the glare and heat on our west-facing porch which was nearly unusable in the hot afternoons of the summer months. I would definitely recommend them to anyone!

Review: Would like to give 4.5 stars if it was possible.
Premium product all around! Great quality on all components and the finished product looks so nice!
The customer support is also top-notch. Very responsive and all the ladies want to make sure you will end up with a good result.
The area for improvement is on the installation instructions and this is the only reason I would take off a half star. I installed my shade myself with the help of one other handy person and another person for extra hands periodically. I was able to piece together all the info provided by North Solar to make it work and complete the install correctly and successfully; but it took more effort than most people would want to deal with. Also, most of the install instructions are focused more on surface-mounting, while the under-mount install seems like an afterthought in all the instructions.
For ref… my current shade in the photos is the Citadel Brawny motorized shade, almost 15ft long. 97% density (3% openness) with Carbon color fabric and Black housing color.
I highly recommend North Solar screen. I will be purchasing another shade for my covered deck that will be just shy of 20ft long.

Review: Was looking for a 16 foot shade for my patio in Florida. Evening sun gets very warm. As it turns out, there are not many companies that offer something that long.
