Went the extra mile for me multiple times and didn’t charge me extra. Discovered what was wrong with my car for free before giving me an estimate and letting me decide if I would like to continue. Fixed it in a fraction, of a fraction, of the time other garages would. Charged me LESS than the quoted price. For reasons, I honestly can’t even remember I was so shocked to hear it, lol. (I’m not saying to expect this everytime, I just wanted to bring up how cool they were!) I left some things I honestly probably shouldn’t have in my center console….. and there wasn’t a hair of evidence they even so much as looked at it. Fully and thoughtfully explained to me the problems with my car and what problems I might find in the future. Didn’t try to upcharge me or find a million things “to fix” and add to the bill. Genuinely apologized when they couldn’t find the source or solution to a whine my engine had, but remembered me and CALLED ME BACK when they found out the solution from working on another customers car. Then, gave me FREE TIPS on how to deal with it myself instead of trying to get me back in for another bill. I couldn’t stop saying to them with shock in my voice about how I didn’t think mechanics like this existed… They’re so humble, so seemingly genuinely committed to this incredible standard of service, they acted in almost bewilderment to MY confusion at it all. As if this level of thoughtful service was still as common place in America as the sunrise. Almost like I WAS the strange one for expecting any different lol. I wish hospitals, schools, hell… the country operated the way Moodys does. I would trust them with and would send my Grandma to them, lol. EDIT: I’m still so bewildered by my experience. I had to look at other reviews to see if I was taking crazy pills. These people respond to every single review with a thoughtful and hand typed message. These people only have 5 reviews as of 1/26/25 that aren’t 5 stars. Not only that, 2 of them dont even say why (yet are STILL thoughtfully replyed to with a proclamation of sincere guilt that they couldnt meet their standards.) And I would absolutely bet no one would be siding with the other 3 after reading them, lol. The only good part of this experience is that they actually completed the work and it was done within 3 days. The quote i was given over the phone initially and confirmed the price of twice(!!) Was doubled after i actually dropped my car off and they got to work on it. The desk lady needs to be retrained if she cannot order the correct parts the first time. VERY disappointing from a new mechanic to waterville. I was really hoping this moodys would compare to the lewiston or augusta ones but this was is FAR inferior. 0/10 steer clear and try out a local, not chain mechanic. Edit: So glad to know the other locations are unrelated to you! The visual inspection will for sure help you properly assess client issues and offer more accurate quotes to your future customers. If the quote was even close to accurate in price the first time, I would not be upset because I would have been prepared to pay that amount. I wouldn’t have agreed to the drastically changed price if there were other feasible options at the time. Unfortunately, most people don’t have the ability to pay for a tow to another shop, so going somewhere else is not always a choice… that’s why people call ahead to get a quote so they know where to choose to bring their vehicle! Their customer service was spectacular, and they made me feel at ease. Above all, they are honest and more than reasonably priced. Ladies no need to worry about coming here and getting ripped off, or being confused as to what’s going on with your car. Will definitely be returning.
