This year (September of 2022) I had my windshield replaced and needed new tint. I am a younger female who is very soft spoken. When I went into River City Tint 9/9/22, I asked them to redo my tint with the materials and percentages they used last time. The worker in the back told me that he would only do 80% but when I told him I had 35% last time he told me that he wouldn’t do it. He argued with me that I would have problems and wouldn’t be able to see. This would not have been the case as I’ve had 35% for the past year with no issues. He then told me the lowest he would go was 50%. I thought this was strange considering the year before they had done everything I asked with zero issues. I agreed on the 50%. The next day I noticed that my windshield was completely see through. With 50% tint it should not have been as clear as it was. I called the shop to ask them to take a look at it to see if maybe they had used the wrong tint. They told me to come back so I went back today (9/14/22). The man at the front already knew who I was and was rude from the second I walked through the door. The other workers stared and me with their arms crossed as if I had done something wrong. The man at the front walked me through and showed me with the meter that my tint was indeed 50% which I was okay with but I just wanted to make sure. My boyfriend then called and asked to see if they would do 35% on his windshield and they agreed but only if it was a cash transaction. My boyfriend asked why they wouldn’t have done that for me and the man told him that I shouldn’t have been so nervous. I feel that they took the opportunity to get a quick buck knowing that I am young and don’t know too much about tint except the basics. The amount of disrespect my family has gotten from this business is outrageous. For the amount of money my family and I have spent here you would think respect and customer service would come with it.
