I told them that last year I removed the tinting of car front windows for the reason of registering car in New York state. Now I will be going to Iowa, and I need to do tinting for my front windows. When I checked on the internet, I understood that the legal limit in Iowa is 30%. I am not sure, whether it is only 30% light pass through or 30% light will be blocked. I told them to go for 35% tinting. After tinting, I came home and checked on the Iowa DOT, it said that 30% blocking is allowed and 70% light should pass through. Then I realize my mistake. I went there next day morning and explained what has happened. I do agree it is wrong on my part. Also, it is their responsibility to inform the customers about the legal limit of the state where the customer is intended to go. I told them to remove the film installed yesterday and install the film which complies the legal limit. They do not want to take any responsibility and still they want to charge full pricing for the new film. It is so unethical. At least they should have given some consideration and have done the new film for certain amount of discounted price. They did not agree for it. Finally, I told them to remove the film which was installed yesterday. My $170 got wasted totally. Future customers please be aware of their unethical practices. 28-Jan-2025 Response: The following is my response to AutoImage’s reply to my review. Whatever AutoImage claiming is wrong. Let me explain. I am giving my unbiased honest review every time. When the service is bad, we need to say bad. That’s what I did with AutoImage. They never read my positive reviews at all I believe. I told them that I was having tinted front windows earlier and when I needed to register in New York state, I removed the tint. This time I am going to Iowa. They simply said to me that they assumed that I will be visiting to Iowa as a visitor and not going to stay there. Any layman can understand my intention that I will be registering my car in Iowa. Customer might not fully aware. The majority of the responsibility lies with AutoImage. That is the reason they call themselves as professionals. Are they professionals when they simply pass the responsibility to the customer 100%. Moreover, they claim that they offered Air 80 tint film at a discounted price. No, it is a lie. They want to charge me the full price of $170. That is the reason I refused to take. This is not the first instance with the Autoimage. Earlier I sent another car to them for paint work. Their quality of their job is too bad, and the paint peeled off after certain period. It took my additional time (Off from workplace) and effort to get it done. If I am a bad reviewer, I would have posted that earlier itself. Instead of writing bad review about them I just ignored it. Now, they forced me to post that review too. Herewith I attached their invoice for original repair and warranty repair. Finally, I want to tell one thing to their future customers. Please do not trust all 5 star reviews posted on AutoImage. Even I personally selected AutoImage for window tint job based on their 5 star reviews. Now, I believe that most of their 5 star reviews are posted by their own team.
