They had the cleanest bathrooms , a nice waiting area and it was just the best experience and the price for an oil change in today’s world was 40.00 out the door. Towards the late afternoon Arndt ordered my specialized tire and got me back on the road. Also, fair prices as well to go with good work. Upon leaving my other review, they reached out almost instantly saying they could do the job with cheaper parts, keep in mind, this option was never mentioned to me when I turned down the service in person. I had to leave a negative review for that option. Despite the new quote, the labor fees with the discount were still high. Maybe go here if you have a single issue and know what a fair charge is, but I’m certainly never taking a car here even though I live a block away. Never took it to another shop and just ended up selling the car, but every single person I shown that quote to, (one being a mechanic at another shop), said that was too high. Original review below: Well, after going here for a diagnostic of what a squeak noise could be, I get handed back the list of repairs needed below. The prices seem a bit steep and I will be getting a second shop’s opinion on it. If they find a majority of these issues aren’t really an issue or that Arndt’s quote for these repairs is higher, my rating will drop to 1 or 2 stars. If their quote was around what the next shop I go to’s quote is, i’ll bump this review to 4 to 5 stars. I already got quite a few second opinion’s saying that this is double what labor, parts, etc should be. I also can find the parts online for way less as it’s an older GM vehicle, which shares parts from a lot of other cars near the same year. This last time, they worked quickly to get my car done in time for me to drive to an important appointment in Chicago. Their staff is very helpful and knowledgeable. Their work is reliable and thorough and their prices are competitive. They gave me a loaner car which I used that afternoon and returned the following afternoon. It was helpful but cost me $30 in gas because it’s an older, inefficient SUV. —– Author: Joseph Spaugh Rating: 1/5 Date: 5/29/2023, 4:15:10 PM Review: Worst automotive center I ever have taken a vehicle to from customer service,to all the lies they told me about my vehicle took it in for a oil leak said they ran dye through engine to find leak they lied .said it was my oil filter leaking a lie .a passenger valve cover lie .said it would cost 861 dollars to fix . Tail light burnt out they quoted 115 dollars to replace bulb . I could go on . Beware before taking your vehicle here ,waste of time and a joke .is what they didn’t realize I do mechanic work I told them what was wrong. They insisted on the diagnostic inspection. Total ripoff id fixed it myself if I had my tools and time . I had issues with a quick change oil place that messed up my a/c system and Arndt Automotive got me in the same day and fixed the issue quickly.
