I was on there looking for a replacement for a customer’s insurance claim. The quote process is a bit lengthy, but detailed. I only wish getting a hold of someone was easier. I submitted for a quote without a time frame for response or confirmation, so I emailed to see if someone could give an update. I haven’t heard anything yet. The production dates moved once ordered, and after months still no windshields. Tried to contact customer service or a manager. No luck, the owner responded that emails only. I purchased a UPD Plastics inc windshield for my pontoon. Their “customer service rep” told me how to select the windshield. They also wanted me to send in my old one. I told them i couldn’t because it was smashed from a tree branch falling on it. They sent me the agreement and charged me almost $300 for a plastic windshield. When it arrived, it had no holes to put the screws in to attached to my console. They included a drill bit… with a link to a YouTube video on how to drill acrylic. Evidently, it cracks very easily. I didn’t feel comfortable doing this because if i cracked it, I’m out of luck. So i wrote UPD Plastics inc telling them i would like to return the windshield because I’m not comfortable drilling the holes. They told me tough, and i signed the contract. I said that’s not good business, and the rep got even more belligerent telling me i “lured” and then into getting into a contract with them… WHAT?!!! I lured them into ME signing THEIR contract?? Then the rep calls me an idiot. So I told him what he can do with himself. UPD Plastics inc is run by juveniles, have ridiculous prices for their products, and provide no customer service whatsoever.
