Pricing

Pricing is a point of contention. One review mentions prices being double the industry standard and mentions that the owner presented invoices of other customers who paid much more, leading to the feeling of being overcharged. Another review mentioned a fair price, and another did not mention pricing at all. Therefore, a definitive answer cannot be given.

Customer Service

One review reported extremely poor customer service, with the owner being unhelpful and dismissive. Other reviews, however, reported excellent and above-and-beyond customer service. Therefore, a definitive answer cannot be given.

Author: This Guy Rating: 1/5 Date: 4/6/2024, 8:10:17 PM Review: I was interested in getting window tint for my Tesla Model Y so I called fresh. Jose answered the phone and said he had time today that I should come by and look at the options. Historically I have always used LLumar FormulaOne film but wanted to explore other options, as the shop I frequented had an ownership change. Jose presented the options saying “Huper Optik is the best” – I have never heard of this brand or the manufacturer called autobahn. Granted the performance seemed to be pretty great but the prices were double what I have been quoted, ranging from $1295 to $1995. I asked Jose what makes it the best and he said I was asking too many questions and that I should go somewhere else. It seemed he had trouble with my objection to the “black ceramic” line that is noted as a “dyed” film, very different from ceramic. Jose presented multiple invoices for other cars tint showing prices upwards of $2500, kind of strange – I do not need to see other customers that paid too much, for you to give me a “good deal”. I told Jose I would think about it and left. I found another shop called HeatWave in Hermosa Beach, I called, and Jesse said he’s not allowed to quote anything other than entry level over the phone. I stopped by and I noticed multiple of the same framed images of what appeared to be customers in both stores, strange and off-putting. Jesse showed my their Xpel film and quoted me 2k to do the whole car including moonroof with XR plus. He did say though, “Huper Optik is the best”, seems like a kickback to me. Come to find out, these shops are both owned by them, and that “I could walk into a shop and wouldn’t know it’s theirs” and the “I’m crazy”, as said by Jose. Do not be thrown off by their “friendly” office decor with pictures of the same “happy customers” and bible verses. Why wouldn’t you name both shops “Fresh Window Tint” if you are “the best”? —– Author: This Guy Rating: 1/5 Date: 4/6/2024, 8:10:17 PM Review: I was interested in getting window tint for my Tesla Model Y so I called fresh. Why wouldn’t you name both shops “Fresh Window Tint” if you are “the best”? —– Author: Brian Lo Rating: 5/5 Date: 6/20/2022, 8:48:55 PM Review: Jessi did a full window tint (rear, side and front) and PPF for the front of our brand new Tesla 3. There were a few issues to resolve (my rear window tint needed to be redone) and the PPF on the bumper was covering one of my sensors; but Jessi didn’t hesitate to solve the problems. Overall, good work at a fair price. Recommend.
