Mr. Tint in Escondido

The first one did not return my voicemail until a week later after I already had my windows tinted. My philosophy is: If I can’t reach you to make a sale, how can I reach you if there’s a problem? The second place was Tint World. They sent a guy out who was a few marbles short of a half dozen. There is a door knob sign on both front and back doors like the Do Not Disturb ones at hotels. They both read: Don’t Let The Cats Out! This guy left the door and screen door wide open! He has no idea how lucky he is that our house cats were hiding in the bedroom as soon as he arrived. His second strike was trying to measure the windows without opening the blinds all the way. He was clumsily trying to go around them. Who does that? The third strike? He brought no samples to choose from. He called me several days later to inform me that the price would be $794. I asked how he could possibly provide a quote without a tint selection and he told me, “I chose black for you. Your mom said she wanted black.” No, she said she wanted a dark tint to stop the sun from streaking the couch. A shade of dark, but not black. We weren’t making a Kodak darkroom for crying out loud! So so so not hired. Superior Windows came out, were completely professional, and left a couple of tint options with mom for me to look at once I got home. Had it not been for a $300 price difference, we’d have considered them for the job. There’s another company I did a sour review on you can find in my profile, that straight out pissed me off. Not only did the guy not respect my time, he overbooked to make as much money as he could and expected me to test window tints after the sun was setting. Again, who does that? So not hired! His insulting my intelligence got him a bad review. Now after I went through all this nonsense, I ended up going with Mr. Tint, whom by the way was the first place that visited our home while I was auditing options. Rigo came out to the house on time, no excuses, measured and showed mom several different tints. The price was super reasonable and a full $300 less than the other places while still offering the same product and a lifetime warranty. In trying to settle on a specific tint, Rigo made a second trip to the house to meet me this time and he shined as he explained what would be the end result with each one. He was very knowledgeable and helpful in making our final decision. The workers came out and did a spot on job that provided the results we were seeking. The sun does not even stripe the couch now, which is a result we sought. In the summer this is the hottest room in the house and we should experience a difference and quite possibly a lower electric bill. Hands down Mr. Tint out bid, with outstanding service and great customer service and I’ll definitely use them again without checking all the other guys. I know this review was in length, but I wanted to save you the time, frustration and anger that I experienced with a couple of other places. Save yourself the time and $$$$$ and let Rigo and his crew at Mr. Tint do your home windows.
