The next day I called Primo Auto glass to get an estimate. Not only did they give me a great price, but even did same day service. Everyone was kind when I arrived. Took only an hour to fix. And they even cleaned up some of the shattered glass that was on the floor of my car. I decided to get a second price opinion. I came into Primo and David was God sent. He was so nice, genuine and trustworthy. He was just so helpful and went out of the way to replace the brackets for my glass that the dealership said miraculously disappeared. Please stop by here first before all those mobile services and dealerships.He really cares about his customers and truly enjoys what he does and helping people. —– Author: Lauren R Rating: 1/5 Date: 11/1/2022, 6:39:35 PM Review: After hearing that Safelite was charging almost $600 for windshield repair, I went by Friday so the owner/manager could see if my car had a windshield with a “rain censor” (it did not) he had quoted to me at $350 if it did, so presumably, it would be less, right? Nope, but I’ll circle back to that. He told me he would order it and it would be there Monday morning and that I could bring my car in at 11am. Monday morning, I call as I’m on my way to let them know I am running 20 minutes late. The guy on the phone says they don’t do appointments, it’s first come, first serve and they’ll be there whenever I show up. Hmm, okay? Not what was previously communicated, but I let it go. I get there, wait for about thirty minutes and the employee tells me the replacement windshield they ordered is damaged and they need to order another one and that I can come back at 1:30. I come back about 1:15 and see there is a guy delivering windshields. I let them know I’m back, after a while they get started. It was pretty quick, which is literally the only good thing I have to say about this whole experience. Knowing now how they operate, I doubt they had even ordered the replacement windshield in the first place. When it came time to pay, the employee asked me what the owner quoted me. I couldn’t remember at that exact moment, but there was paperwork filled out, which I assumed would include that information, it did not. So then he tells me “Okay it’s $540” WHAT?!?! I knew that wasn’t right because if I were going to pay $600 I would have just had Safelite come to the house and saved a trip. I pulled up text messages and verified the $350 quote that was previously given to me. He doesn’t want to budge. I ask to speak to the owner that gave me the initial cost. Then the owner and employee BOTH attempt to convince me that there was a misunderstanding on MY part because they’ve supposedly explained to me that $350 is the price of after-market glass, not the name brand dealer windshield they installed. I did NOT misunderstand. He quoted me $350 for the special rain censor glass that I didn’t need. THEY decided to make that call for me without asking me. Had they asked, I would have told them I would prefer $350 to $540. At that point I was feeling jerked around enough. I said this is a sneaky way to do business and that they’ve taken my options away since the windshield is already on the car now. What are they going to do? Remove it? I tell them to charge me whatever the cost because I’m angry and I just want to get out of there. The employee charges the full amount and the owner calls back to tell him to just charge me $350+tax so he refunds me $166 in cash, all the while still trying to convince me that it was MY MISTAKE, that I was getting a “great deal”, and that the owner “doesn’t care about money, only customers”. All I could say was that I will definitely clarify all these details AND MORE in the future, when I take our vehicles TO A DIFFERENT BUSINESS. It’s hard enough being a woman who doesn’t know anything about cars and trying to navigate repairs without getting scammed without having to deal with snakes like this running businesses. 0/10 UNTRUSTWORTHY I also see the the owner on here making sarcastic little remarks to people leaving poor reviews. Don’t be bitter, be better. Don’t like the negative feedback? Then stop trying to scam people. ✌️
